Can Someone Explain to Me...

cpolkWhy the hell I can't get my new Creative Webcam to take STILL Photos? it says it wants an application to send the photos to - WHAT application? I installed the drivers and the monitoring system, and nnnnnnnothing!
And the Creative website is distressingly unhelpful. how am I supposed to take egopictures if it won't take bloody pictures? and I even looked cute today too. but Alas!
And man does it freak my roommate out. I come home from work after he's used the computer for a day and the cam, which was pointed pretty much at where my head would be if I was sitting here typing, is turned off to the side.
I don't think he realizes that it's not actually broadcasting anything unless you tell it to.
But it makes me wonder what he's so worried about people seeing....
