cpolkWell, I successfully installed xubuntu, but quickly discovered that it's not as lightweight as it claims to be, as Golem ran precariously slow under it. So I've decided to try other platforms.
I burned DeLi Linux, and immediately ran into a problem.
DeLi uses Lilo to boot to OS. Xubuntu uses Grub.
Grub still exists on my computer, for some reason, and it's giving me "error 15." which is yo I can't find the file! but really what I need to do is axe grub entirely as it is getting in the way.
I also just finished downloading DSL (Damn Small Linux) and I think I'm going to give this one a try over DeLi. DSL also uses LiLo, so I still have to solve my grub problem.
Oh well. it's something to do while I lie in bed and slowly die of whatever it is that's coating all my breathing equipment. and I need more ginger root.
so I'm going to burn this DSL and check all of my question nets, and see if I've caught an answer about getting rid of Grub.
