I have learned continental style knitting, and it is faster than english knitting. I'm out of yarn. I'm fighting the urge to get seven different colours of yarn to make a doctor who style scarf (I'm not down with the idea of making an exact replica, but I like the wacky stripe pattern and the colours.) but if I find some I like and it's cheap enough, i shall find it hard to resist.
I'm also in the mood to make mixes. and I like to share my mixes. I would make mixes that would fit on a CD, if someone wanted to burn a CD with the tunes. or I could simply make the mix and bundle all the mp3's together with a playlist order, which would be a smaller download. either way, the downloads would be long-ass (and my mixes can be ... strange. I have a hard time sticking to one sound or style.)
This week, my theme is obviously John Peel Week. I've got a tentative mix down, where all the bands have in common is that they either did a peel session or their song ended up on a Festive 50. I have to give it another test listen to make sure it doesn't need tweaking. now if I do a CD mix of this, I'll be putting it through Sony Soundforge to make definite fades and segues the way I want them to go, then to nero to make a disc image, and that's what I'd upload. it would make a disc of music, but not something that I can guarantee is easily rippable to mp3 to put on your player.
The mp3 list won't be as polished as I would like, but it will at least be raidable. anybody have a specific preference?
