One thing that I don't really talk about in my LJ or really anywhere on the internet, is that I get to read all of
matociquala's books before the general public does. and so when I'm reading the lively and interesting discussions in her journal, and someone starts wishing that they could read a book of hers that isn't published yet, I think to myself that I have read that book already. in some cases, in several drafts and incarnations of book. (I'm a little slower on the short stories, I must admit, but I get 'em.)
Anyway, some stuff got cut out of Blood and Iron. I understand, because while I loved those pieces, they aren't pulling enough weight for the printed page. They are diary entries that peppered the book, giving background and extra information that I enjoyed.
But they aren't going into blood and Iron. The pieces that need to stay in the book are still there, but not as diary entries any longer.
We lamented about this, but then I had a brainstorm. and it was leapt upon.
And so I welcome
elaine_andraste, because it isn't every day one of the fey folk joins LJ.
