Does this look like the animator's equivalent of tracing to you?

I found a link to a for pay sf and fantasy yaoi site. THIS IS WHERE THE LINK GOES. YOU HAVE BEEN INFORMED. I expect you to have the jedgemetn to decide on if you want to click it, or if it would be indiscreet to click it.

anyway i was like, "animation trailer? NEAT!" for a yaoi series about a race of super powerful aliens coming to earth. so i clicked.

(there is not yaoi content in the trailer at all, don't worry about that.)

in about two seconds, I started to feel ill and uncomfortable, because what i was seeing was ... really familiar. It looked like CGI from battlestar galactica, traced over to make cosmetic changes.

but maybe i'm wrong. am i wrong?
