Just to prove I haven't been completely slack on project corset 2006

after I discovered (much to my horror) that someone had thrown away the envelope containing my simplicity 9769 pattern, I had a mad idea to draft a pattern myelf. I bought some cheap canvas from fabricland, and put together a very makeshift mockup. I'm pleased with how it worked out in general, but I think that I should have been more careful in placing my busk and my lacing holes to get a better idea of how it works.

and I think I might need to take the top in a wee little bit.

	mockup front front view. the busk is barely attached because I have to rip it out.
	mockup back yes, I used buttonholes to lace it up. and not nearly enough of them or properly spaced or lined up or anything. I can close the corset completely in the back after a few minutes.
	mockup side the other side seam had a double channel. I wanted to compare. I think I like the double channel better.
	mockup three quarters i did the contrasting thread to aid viewers in where my seams are. except - that double row of boning in the middle of the side front panel is not on a seam.

I think I understand why so many of the corsets I see have the bone casings on top of the seams - what a NIGHTMARE trying to sew them in the back!
