This sucks.
I'm all antsy because all of my stories are in circulation, and I'm stalling on my latest idea. I really should just get down and write the damned thing and let it suck... that's what I had to do with And Rites of Blood and it turned out not to suck much at all.
I don't think i'm Ted Chiang, but generally I have to think about a story for weeks before I can actually write it. At least, that's what I've noticed lately. and sometimes it's like pulling teeth trying to write it. I got the first draft out all in a rush for Le Belle Homme Sans Merci, and it was three sessions for Threads. But Buy Time (There, I've said the title, now you, gentle reader, know what I haven't told anyone, don't you feel special?) has a false start and it's driving me quite mad. I guess I can think about it for a few weeks...
But that gives me nothing to do NOW.
Hopefully I'll get a rejection letter soon.
